After qualifying as a dispensing chemist, Dr. Werner Cobet developed his own compositions for solid and semi-solid pharmaceutical forms in the German Armed Forces and in 1992 obtained a Doctorate in protein transport through cell membranes and genetic development of translocation intermediates at the Institute for Physiological Chemistry, Cell Biology and Physical Biochemistry at the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich and was then Project Manager for Oncology and Respiratory Therapeutics in Medicinal Product Licensing at Fujisawa/Klinge in Munich.

After studying the legal protection of industrial property rights and training to become a patent attorney at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Federal Patent Court in Munich, together with
Christoph Kayser, he founded KAYSER & COBET patent attorneys with offices in Berlin and Hamm.
As well as looking after clients in the fields of the automobile industry, computer and semiconductor technology, mechanical engineering and automation technology,
Dr. Cobet specialises in chemistry, pharmacy, biochemistry/biotechnology, medical engineering and food technology as well as national and international trademark law.
 
Dr. Cobet looks after national and international companies in all areas of the legal protection of industrial property rights. An important aspect of the consultation work of Dr. Werner Cobet is the development of patent and trademark strategies for the efficient and economical protection of new developments, securing products which have been introduced and averting the risk of an infringement in the property rights of third parties.

Whilst studying geology and geophysics at the Technical University of Clausthal and RWTH Aachen, Christoph Kayser worked on geophysical and geochemical projects on the prospecting and exploration of organic deposits and after obtaining his degree, moved to the Institute for Oil Research at the Technical University of Clausthal and was involved in a  research project to develop a model for CO2 flooding of oil deposits with the aim of improving the yield.
 
After studying the legal protection of industrial property rights and training to become a patent attorney in fairly large patent attorney’s office as well as at the German Patent and Trademark Office and the Federal Patent Court in Munich,
Christoph Kayser founded the KAYSER patent attorney’s office in Hamm in 1992 and in 1998 this expanded to become KAYSER & MÖBUS with offices in Hamm  and Munich. Since 2002 the firm has also had an office in Berlin. Together with Dr. Werner Cobet, Christoph Kayser founded KAYSER & COBET patent attorneys with offices in Berlin and Hamm. Patent attorney Möbus still has connections with the Munich office as a cooperating partner.
 

Since 1994,
Christoph Kayser has been an active member of Rotary International, presently at the Berlin-Humboldt Rotary Club.
 
As well as looking after clients in the fields of filter technology, semiconductor technology, mechanical engineering and automation technology,
Christoph Kayser specialises in the fields of alternative energies, geothermics, catalytic processing technology, fibre optics and medical engineering. Another focus of their work lies in the field of national and international trademarks and the enforcement of property rights and licences.
 
Christoph Kayser looks after research institutions, national and international companies in all areas of the legal protection of industrial property rights. An important goal of his consulting work is aimed at developing patent and trademark strategies with his clients in good time so as to optimise the protective effects of their patents and trademarks at home and abroad.
